Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell

“Outliers are those who have been given opportunities, and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them”
For almost 3 years my dad has been asking me to read and review this book because he loved it so much. in the begging I was a bit skeptical especially because non-fiction is very hit or miss for me. However, I was happily blown away by this book and it definitely became one of my favorite non-fiction book ever.
In this stunning book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers"--the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high-achievers different?
Like I said I was truly blown away by this book, before I started reading I was excepting to read another non-fiction book arguing about how to succeed you just have to work hard, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that this was not the case for Outliers. Even though working hard is a huge part of becoming an Outlier, this book explores a lot more factors that come into play that we don’t normally think about and for me that was what made this book stand out.
The way the author presents information throughout the book is excellent, it is written in such a way that is not hard to understand and that it packs a punch so that you are able to fully comprehend what the author is trying to say. I loved how in each story the author tells, he first tells to story as we would normally think an Outliers is, and then, he explains why there is so much more to the story so that you are able to see that being an Outlier is so much more than just working hard.
Overall, Outliers is a book that will definitely go down in history as one of the few books that made me look at my life, and apply some of the ideas to it. This is an outstanding non-fiction book that will change our perception according to what makes people succeed. Definitely recommend everyone to pick this book up.
