“The fault, dear Brutus, is not is our stars / But in ourselves”

Decided to re-read one of my all-time favorite books because why not. I started my re-read of The Fault in Our Stars already knowing what this book was about, what happened, and even how it ended. However, I still loved it like it was the first time reading it.

In The Fault in Our Stars we follow Hazel Grace who despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, has never been anything but terminal. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

What can I say about this book that hasn’t been said already. This book is definitely the best book John Green has ever written and not just that, I think this book is a masterpiece. Even though this book is relatively short John Green still manages to make you feel as though you have known the characters your whole life.

The writing in this book is outstanding, sure there are some parts where it gets too philosophical and you feel like you have no idea what they are talking about (Peter Van Houten) but in the end the writing makes you feel complete. I tabbed this book so much I nearly had to buy a whole new packet.

This book was written almost 9 years ago and I can say with certainty that it stands the test of time. The Fault in Our Stars is a heartfelt, emotional and heartwarming story about what it is to fall in love in the least expected circumstances.

“You gave me forever within the numbered days, and I’m grateful”
