“ We all want everything to be okay. We don’t even wish so much for fantastic or marvelous our outstanding… most of the time, okay is enough”
Every Day was one of the oldest books I had on my tbr. I immediately wanted to read it the moment it came out in 2012. I am so thrilled to say this book lived up to my high expectations however it did not excel them.
In Every Day we follow A, A has a different body every day, a different life every day and he is used to this constant change. It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone A wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.
I loved this book so much, I loved it because the plot is unique, I have never seen anything that even resembles it. I loved how it dealt with gender and sexual orientation, how A is in love with “people” not a gender or sex in particular.
About the half way point, I started to get a little bored, it was the same thing over and over again: A waking up, stalking and finding Rhiannon for most of the book. However I am able to put all of that aside because of the ending, the ending for me is the most realistic and emotional ending. The amount of love it took A to let Rhiannon go spoke to me in a whole new level.
Overall I really adore this book, it had some flaws but I think A was flawed so it fit and even though it was not perfect
I still truly enjoyed it. I will continue on with the series because I cannot get enough of A, it must be so frustrating to be him and I really want to see what else the author can do. I would really recommend this book.
