I received a copy of this book and when I read what it was about I was thrilled. Most often than not successful and powerful women aren’t acknowledge because of their gender so we tend to forget about them or not give them as much credit as we sometimes tend to do with men. So with that said I was over the moon to read a book that talked solely on women who have achieved great things and haven’t got the recognition they deserved.
365 Days of Gutsy Women is a book containing brief biographies of 365 fearless females from the past that received little or no recognition for their accomplishments.
This book is just what it is described as, in 365 pages I was able to learn more about 365 women who changed the world. If I was being completely honest I would have to acknowledge that sadly I had not hear about most of these amazing figures so that just proves how much this book is needed. This book is easy to read, the author manages to give a glimpse of each women, who they were, what they did, and why that was important. I was blown away by each and every women that is presented in this book and I have to say that I ended up doing extra research on some of them solely based on how moved I was by them.
I was in awe by each and every one of these women, the world would look so much different without them, civilization, science, art and many other fields would be much more behind if it wasn’t for these women, and it pains me to see that although they were revolutionaries, we hardly talk about them. This book is a celebration of women throughout history and in my opinion if should be a must read for everyone.
I read this book in about a week because I was so intrigued, however I think I’ll read it again the way the other intended it (one biography a day) so that I can reflect and do research on each and every one of these outstanding women.
Absolutely blown away by this book and I immensely recommend it for everyone, especially for young girls looking for courage.
